We can’t forget, we won’t forget: The Holocaust and the Pink Triangles.

Remembering the Pink Triangles: The Forgotten Stories of Queer Suffering in the Holocaust Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we reflect on one of the darkest chapters in human history – not just to remember the millions who perished but to honour the often-overlooked stories of queer individuals who suffered under the Nazi regime. Among the countless lives destroyed, a specific group bore a unique mark of hatred: the pink triangle. The pink triangle, now reclaimed as a symbol of LGBTQ+ pride and resilience, was once a badge of unimaginable horror. It marked gay men in Nazi concentration camps – men whose only “crime” was their love, identity, or defiance of societal norms. Their stories, silenced for decades, deserve to be told, heard, and remembered. Being Gay Under t...

Daniel Craig’s ‘Queer’ Role: A Dive into Complexity and Representation

Daniel Craig from 007 to a complicated queer role that made us love him even more! Daniel Craig, best known for his icy cool take on James Bond, has taken a bold step into LGBTQ+ storytelling with his portrayal in Queer, a film adapted from William S. Burroughs’ semi-autobiographical novel. This move into playing a “complicated gay character” has sparked intrigue and applause, with Craig expressing a profound connection to the role. “Not Just Another Role” Craig revealed that his character in Queer is driven by unrequited love, loneliness, and the pain of rejection—a departure from the suave personas he’s famous for. “It’s not about being gay or straight,” Craig shared, highlighting that the story captures universal human struggles. For him, the essence of the role lies in exploring raw...

Sanctimonious lesbians and their hypocrisy towards transexuel women

So I say to you lesbians, you are no different to any fascist group - pull your fingers out of your arses and educate yourselves on who your allies truly are.   Women in the 21st Century are still sexually abused, discriminated against and indecently sexually idolised. So what gives lesbians the right to discriminate against transexual women ? I am ashamed to admit it but there was a time where I did not accept men transitioning into women. I used to find it repulsive and thought it to be a weapon to abuse females. It wasn’t until I saw a transexual woman sleeping rough that it dawned on me. I had walked by June twice that day and my heart sank as I could see beneath the dirty fingernails, the unwashed face, the greasy knotted hair and a worn out grey blanket covering her body, ...
Have I found love or is it lesbian infatuation ?

Have I found love or is it lesbian infatuation ?

Bound and imprisoned by infatuation when we could work a little harder to find true love.   Do we know the difference between love and infatuation or is our misunderstanding of both meanings the cause to our short term relationship syndrome ? I have recently met a woman who has captured my very being but am I being too hasty in divulging that I am in love after one month ? Is the ‘love’ that I feel true or is it simply infatuation ? I am certain that it is possible to love immediately when a strong bond has naturally developed but could that connection be the answer to my question or am I running away from my subconsciousness.    Lesbian relationships always commence with a big bang and finish with an even greater dramatical ending that no one could have foreseen yet ...

Mental Health needs TLC: PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ

My whole world came falling down in silence and there was no one there to help cushion the fall.   We walk the streets of London on our way to work every morning. We either wait at the bus stop or we queue to enter the tube. As we stand there, we stand amongst our fellow Londoners. Some dressed in suits ready for work in the city and others in their uniforms. We stand in silence as we await our destination, holding the railings or sitting down, our eyes firmly on the ground. Do you stop to think what might go on in the lives of those that surround you on your daily morning routine ? I sit there and I look at every single person and I try to imagine what their lives might be like. By the expression people carry, nine times out of ten you can tell if they are in muddy waters. I sit...

Married Couple Seek Woman: Have You Tried a Hoover and a Wet Sponge ?

For all married couples who are disrespectful towards women who do not wish to be part of their sordid sexual games, I say to you 'have you tried a hoover and a wet sponge ?'.   The amount of married straight couples who lurk in the shadows of online dating sites tend to have a penchant for lesbians over bisexuals. 9 times out of 10, it’s the wife who holds a flame to experience a lustrous passionate girl on girl action while her husband can either watch or with consent might join in. I do not have an issue with couples wanting to spice up their relationship but I do hold a grudge when they begin pestering lesbians on dating sites. I thought it was clearly obvious within the label that men are not wanted. We are a very promiscuous community but it should not be mistaken for want...

Are the labels really necessary?

Understanding lesbian labels and their purpose. Are we conforming to heteronormativity? The terms femme, butch, stud, stem, (along with many others) are continuously thrown around when it comes to the lesbian community, with these terms seeming much more prominent in the past few years. But why? Where did they even come from? The use of lesbian labels originated in the 1890s, with butch referring to a female butcher, “a hard-fisted woman of the people”. The term acting as a way to specifically identify homosexual women. As society assumed butch women were masculine, the labels acted as a way to highlight their lack of femininity, also deeming them outcasts within communities. Many of these assumptions about butch women are still upheld within the LGBTQ+ community. Such being that a but...
