UK: the NHS announces a game-changing HIV treatment injected just six times a year for all patients.

A new long-lasting injectable treatment is approved for use in the United Kingdom, and this could really improve the lives of those living with HIV. Could this be called a “liberation” from the daily tablet(s) treatment HIV patients are used to so far? Just today, in the UK, the NHS has been given the go-ahead to roll out injections taken every two months to manage the virus: results for this research were announced back in December 2020 here.   The new treatment approved by England and Wales’ National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the Scottish Medicines Consortium today, is a combination of two jabs taken every two months: this could actually help to ease the emotional burden of having to take daily tablets (1 to 4 generally) and something like 13,000 people w...

Trans conversion therapies: more than 50% of ex-patients attempted suicide.

This shocking and still so true news is the result of a study conducted in October 2020 by the Gender Identity Research & Education Society, the LGBT Foundation, the Ozanne Foundation and Stonewall. It is scary to read that 9 out of 10 trans and non-binary patients who were treated with conversion-therapies, have then experienced symptoms of anxiety and depression, but it is even worts to read that at least half of them have attempted suicide. The research that you can read here, also found that gender identity conversion therapy is “more widespread and often more violent” than most people actually realise. These therapies too often force their “patients” to unwanted nudity, and include corrective rape, food and sleep deprivation, physical and verbal abuse, as part of the “cure”.  T...

World AIDS Day – HIV treatments, vaccine and Covid-19 Pandemic.

Covid-19 Pandemic has put all HIV patients in serious risks and slowed down all testings and treatments. According to UNAIDS: The lockdowns and border closures imposed to stop COVID-19 are impacting both the production of antiretroviral medicines and their distribution, potentially leading to increases in their cost and to supply issues. Recent modelling has estimated that a six-month complete disruption in HIV treatment could lead to more than 500,000 additional deaths from AIDS-related illnesses. If services to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV were similarly halted for six months, the estimated increases in new child HIV infections would be 162% in Malawi, 139% in Uganda, 106% in Zimbabwe and 83% in Mozambique. The global experience of tackling HIV can help info...

World AIDS Day 2020 – the numbers, the stigma, the fight.

The importance to keep on fighting this "beast" seen under the light of a new global pandemic. Yes, global pandemic is who the WHO describes AIDS/HIV, and unfortunately, this monster does not stop in front of a new virus threatening our lives; this beast does not give any breaks to scientists looking for a cure as it keeps on changing shape, it evolves and gets more dangerous. As of 2018, approximately 37.9 million people are infected with HIV globally and the numbers do not seem to slow down even during Covid-19 pandemic. We'd like to share some Global Statistics of 2020 according to Wikipedia HIV & AIDS Statistics 25.4 million [24.5 million–25.6 million] people were accessing antiretroviral therapy in 2019. 38.0 million [31.6 million–44.5 million] people globally wer...

UK: Transgender teenager takes legal action over the years-long wait faced by young people requesting appointments with NHS specialists

The UK is not facing easy times due to the Pandemic caused by Coronavirus, the Brexit which is approaching in less than 40 days and  the NHS which is fighting not to collapse under the hit of Covid-19 cases.  There is one thing, though, that is not depending on the obove situation, and for which the NHS will have to provide some explanations: their waiting times both for transgender adults and children that have waiting times of years!  NHS waiting time is 18 weeks, but some patients have to wait over 193 weeks only to get to their initial appointment. Things are harder for teen-trans, as there is only one clinic for young people seeking transition in the entire country of her Majesty Elizabeth II. Reece, a 14-year-old-boy, has started a legal action with the support of legal activi...

Sanctimonious lesbians and their hypocrisy towards transexuel women

So I say to you lesbians, you are no different to any fascist group - pull your fingers out of your arses and educate yourselves on who your allies truly are.   Women in the 21st Century are still sexually abused, discriminated against and indecently sexually idolised. So what gives lesbians the right to discriminate against transexual women ? I am ashamed to admit it but there was a time where I did not accept men transitioning into women. I used to find it repulsive and thought it to be a weapon to abuse females. It wasn’t until I saw a transexual woman sleeping rough that it dawned on me. I had walked by June twice that day and my heart sank as I could see beneath the dirty fingernails, the unwashed face, the greasy knotted hair and a worn out grey blanket covering her body, ...
Have I found love or is it lesbian infatuation ?

Have I found love or is it lesbian infatuation ?

Bound and imprisoned by infatuation when we could work a little harder to find true love.   Do we know the difference between love and infatuation or is our misunderstanding of both meanings the cause to our short term relationship syndrome ? I have recently met a woman who has captured my very being but am I being too hasty in divulging that I am in love after one month ? Is the ‘love’ that I feel true or is it simply infatuation ? I am certain that it is possible to love immediately when a strong bond has naturally developed but could that connection be the answer to my question or am I running away from my subconsciousness.    Lesbian relationships always commence with a big bang and finish with an even greater dramatical ending that no one could have foreseen yet ...
Why we should never give up on finding love

Why we should never give up on finding love

If all else fails in life, love is always to be found somewhere. Love is the reason why we should never give up.   Love is no longer the storyline of a 1950’s film scenario. You’re not going to turn up to a party and there sits your soulmate playing the piano and exchanging glances. Love is confined to online dating platforms unless you consider a one night stand pick-up at a lesbian bar sufficient. Actually, a quickie at a lesbian bar is ample for most lesbians. Correct me if I’m wrong but love no longer seems to be the main goal for most people and thus begins the life journey on finding a partner who is socially acceptable based on their career, status and financial standing in contrast to finding someone who can bestow upon you daily butterflies. The three main questions whe...
