Polish President accuses media of spreading fake news about him and his homophobia

The LGBT+ Polish population is in serious danger due to a rise of homophobia justified by Polish president. Andrzej Duda - president of Poland - continues his homophobic attacks and now he has accused the media of spreading “fake news” about his homophobic views. He has just signed a sweeping anti-LGBT pledge - as we reported here - and even with proofs of his words and acts against all LGBT+ rights in this country, he is denying his homophobic acts. Presidential Elections - June 28 - are just around the corner, and in a tweet he wrote in English he raged against media saying: “Yet again, as part of dirty political fight, my words are put out of context. I truly believe in diversity and equality. At the same time beliefs of any minority cannot be imposed on a majority under the false p...

Polands gets even more homophobic with their president picturing the LGBT+ community as enemies.

And some people still ask why we need Gay Prides every year. The air in Poland is getting barely breathable for the LGBT+ community that after the “LGBT+ free zones” are now being portrayed as enemies by Poland’s president which is looking for a second term of power in this month of elections. To make sure he gets a better social impact on the population, Andrzej Duda pleased those nazi-catholic groups of people (including religious representatives) by signing a “family-values-declaration”, where he promised to always “protect children from LGBT+ ideology” and prohibit the spread of such ideas involving public institutions that will have to make sure that nothing like this will ever happen. President Duda said: “This is a foreign ideology that we won’t allow to be introduced into our cou...

Demonstrations that have found allies all over the world and especially amongst the LGBT+ community. But, apparently, this does not apply to Billy Santoro, famous gay porn-star, that lately has used his social media channels (and it is not the first time) to demonstrate his “sympathy” for police officer calling on the to shoot Black People which were demonstrating in the streets. His tweet - deleted shortly after he posted it followi...

Hungary approves bill to ban gender recognition.

There’s no limit to homophobia in Hungary. The LGBT+ community of Hungary is facing new and dangerous challenges after the approval of a bill to ban legal gender recognition. This is putting the Trans community in physical and psychological danger. Basically today, a government-backed bill to replace the terms 'gender' with 'birth sex' on all legal documents issued in the country, was legally approved and effectively  prevents any form of legal recognition for transgender people in the EU state - it passed by 133 votes to 57. The bill has been condemned by LGBT+ organisations across Hungary as well as the Hungarian Psychological Association. Hungarian LGBT+ rights organisation Háttér Society called on Hungarian president to prevent the bill from being signed into law, they added: “We w...

Two years ago The Conservatives got to the power, and still nothing has changed to completely avoid those harmful conversion therapies.

It was in their LGBT+ Action Plan. In this plan, that you can fully read here, The Conservative government described “gay cures” as “abuse of the worst kind” and therefore promised to end conversion therapy as a priority. But, almost two years later they haven’t still been completely banned as it happened in other countries. Kemi Badenoch, Equalities Minister, that called conversion therapies “a very complex issue” said that the government had not decided yet how to proceed on this matter, but we’d like to remind them that they promised a formal consultation in July 2019, long before the outbreak of coronavirus. As we can read also on The Independent , there is still no fixed agenda for this consultation and she also made no mention of the promised one of 2019. She added: “There a...

Whilst playing cards on vacation, Jerusalem-based teenager, Maayan asked her father a simple question: “Why is the Queen worth less than the King?” Her father didn’t have a good answer, which sparked the idea to create the world’s first gender-equal deck, with two Kings and Queens raised higher and two lower, she then added princesses to replace two of the Jacks – all with an equal scoring. They also created a female joker. “Let’s be honest,” Maayan says, “playing cards were invented hundreds of years ago and they don’t make sense anymore today…we even have ruling female monarchs...

The lesbian politics of utopian socialism: The abused have become the abusers.

History has not been taken as a lesson that should be remembered, learnt and avoid past errors but we are far too careless and ignorant to take responsibility. The lesbian community was one of acceptance and played a leading role in tolerance from the 1950’s until the late 2000’s. There were two descriptive characters to name the limited variety of lesbian brackets: The famed feminist fems who were renown for their trails of heartbreaks and social justice fights and the butch who resembled the manners of a gentleman with a slight touch of roughness around the edges. The community then could be described as an embracing entity compared to today’s need of approval. What was once a welcoming and tolerant scenery has become a mere snub in the dark, where one has to behave, think and look a ce...

As te Guardian reported in this article, almost 100 new cases of Covid-19 have been linked to bars and clubs in Itaewon, the city's underground gay district in South Korea.
