Gay sex video in US Capitol disappoints Senator Ben Cardin.

Gay Sex video filmed inside the US Capitol is causing disappointment. But there is a question I cannot find answers for. Why on earth should you decide to film yourself in a gay sex video inside US Capitol? The facts. A US Senate staffer - allegedly Aidan Maese-Czeropski - filmed a gay sex video in a hearing room of the US Senate. https://twitter.com/i/status/1736449083806773654 The staffer - who worked for Senator Ben Cardin - was quickly fired after the release and discovery of the video. Aidan, after the events, posted a statement on LinkedIn: “This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love, to pursue a political agenda”.  […] “While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgment, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplac...

Shoah: when remembering gives us hope for a better future.

For many of us, YomHaShoa - or day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Shoha - is a sad, almost mournful time every year. But then… why is it important to remember if it can hurt so much? As a gay and Jewish person, Remembering (and honouring) the victims of the Shoah is something I do almost every day, it is a good exercise for the memory, but also for my own sense of thankfulness: how lucky are we to be living in so much comfort and peace, in our houses, now? Certainly one could say that we do still have that feeling of “something’s still missing in my life”… but hey! We are here, we are safe, we are alive, and - again - in the full comfort of our own houses. My Grandmother - when still alive - used to remind me of how during deportation she had to flee her city, her parents escaped a...

Italy: protesters in the streets to support ZAN Anti Homotransphobia Bill

The Italian LGTB+ population and that huge majority of Italians that love and want Civil Rights for all, started a huge protest after Zan Bill got stopped during its run to become a law. Zan Bill - Anti Homotransphobia - had already been bounced, delayed and longly discussed before getting completely stopped two days ago in the Italian Senate, and unfortunately the images we saw of that vote, were images that could only belong to a nation of troglodytes. But Italy is not the country that those fascist political parties want to picture: Italy is a nation of good-hearted and civil people that have detached themselves from the politics long ago, and that show huge support to LGBT+ rights. From TV hosts to the Streets of the major cities, peaceful but impacting protests and messages have s...

Anti Homo-Transphobia bill in Italy gets completely stopped.

The journey from bill to law of what is known in Italy as DDL Zan (Anti Homo-transphobia bill) gets abruptly interrupted today. Twenty-three votes scuttled the Zan Bill. The centre-left was sure to have 149 votes on paper, but two abstained and 16 senators passed with the centre-right. The result was 154 votes for NO and 131 for YES, a ratio that was reversed compared to the theoretical starting point envisaged by the forces in the field.  From the Democratic Party, accusations were levelled at those belonging to the party of the Ex Prime-Minister, Mr. Matteo Renzi.  Now Ignazio La Russa (Far right party - Fratelli d’Italia) says: "There is a new majority". Dem leader Monica Cirinnà (famous for her battle to make a law on same sex marriages approved in Italy) said: "The centre-left ...

Lately, a set of new fresh songs by Eurovision artists dropped. Now, without further ado, check out below the most recent new releases. Måneskin - "MAMMAMIA" The winners of Eurovision 2021 are back with a massive heat filled up with sensuality and sexual tension. Damiano's smoky voice portrays all the confidence of a real "Italiano". The lyrics go about crossing boundaries, being yourself and "feeling sexy and freee..." Amir - "Rétine" Amir brings back the French classic ballad sounds. Stripped-back from the beginning, it builds up to something modern, avant-garde and even electronic-inspired in the second half of the song. The song was written by Amir himself together with producers Nazim Khaled and Stav Beger. Little Big – "Welcome To The Internet" ...

Xavier Bettle – Luxembourg PM – publicly attacks Orban’s anti-LGBT+ bill.

Xavier Bettle is openly gay and married to his husband, with which he committed to keep on fighting for LGBT+ rights around the world. As we said here, yesterday Orban and Hungary received an open letter where the EU leaders jointly expressed their solidarity with the LGBT+ community and continued dedication to “fighting against discrimination”. You can see a copy of the letter here below:   “Respect and tolerance are at the core of the European project […] We are committed to carry on with this effort, making sure that future European generations grow up in an atmosphere of equality and respect.” And of course this is what Xavier Bettle wants to pursue for our present and future. Speaking to reporters he said: “Being gay is not a choice. […] You know, I did not just wak...

Vatican VS Italy for LGBT+ rights

The State of Vatican has just started a sort of diplomatic war against Italy while the Italian Parliament gets ready to discuss a law against Homophobia. If Italy is a very socially advanced country where finally same-sex unions are granted by the legislation and have almost same rights as a heterosexual marriage, surely it is still not a country where the LGBT+ population is fully protected against discrimination and abuse We have already spoken here about the Zan Bill Proposal (aka DDL Zan) and that still, after more than year since the PM Alessandro Zan proposed this bill, and after the thousands of revisions that the entire bill received from the right and conservative opposition, the Italian Parliament was almost ready to start the final discussion in order to approve and pass the...

KUALA LUMPUR: Government is thinking to tougher laws against the LGBT+ community.

Un unthinkable and unacceptable reinforcement of discriminating laws agains the rainbow community of Kuala Lumpur is about to be voted by the government soon. Putrajaya’s Government is decided to go ahead with a new set of laws that foresees heavier and punishments for all people found guilty of practicing LGBT+ related acts (eg. Having sex with someone of the same gender, or being in a same-sex relationship, etc), by increasing the sentencing limits to the Syariah Courts - which is part of the criminal jurisdiction - according to the Act 1965-355. Religious affairs minister - Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri - earlier this year said that “LGBT+ culture is not just against Islamic law, but even human nature”, and this is the reason why Putrajaya will push the agenda for the Act 355. Al-Bakri al...

Anti-LGBT+ factions in Israel threaten gender equality in the country.

Noam, part of the Religious Zionism slate, lists string of conditions - which we could easily call racist - for joining Bibi’s government, including halting state-run projects on Shabbat, upholding Jewish nation-state law and downgrading gender equality and LGBT+ rights. Israel recently faced new elections but unfortunately the political panorama did not change that much as Netanyahu still remains in charge as PM and his dirty games of power appear to have no end. Lately, the coalition with the religious-extremist and Zionist party Noam brought to light some very dangerous requests that this party made to Netanyahu in order to adhere to his political majority and plans of power of the country. The party NOAM demanded that “a government edict that requires government bodies to act in acc...

Bolivia’s first Same-Sex Union – history is being made!

After a two-year legal battle Guido and David could finally get their status recognised by the law. Could this first gay civil partnership lead to more LGBT+ rights in Bolivia? Guido Montano, one of the first two gay men to ever get into a same-sex union in the country, told WPR Linda Farthing: “The biggest change is a mental one. It may seem a vague idea in day-to-day life […] but I just immediately sensed that we have more rights.” When l in January both of them contracted COVID-19, without a legal recognition of their status, they were forced to look at the worst-case scenario where all they had built together so far was going to get lost, bu now, as Guido says, “with David really ill, the fact that we can now leave our pensions to each other and that we would have had no proble...
