Montenegro makes history legalising same-sex partnerships.

A big leap for human rights in this small Balkan country. With 42 votes in the 81-seat parliament of Montenegro, the law became effective as of yesterday, Wednesday 1st July 2020. Duško Marković, Montenegro’s prime minister, described the event as “a great step in the right direction for Montenegrin society, its democratic maturity, and integration processes”. With him, also the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović,  welcomed the new law with a post on twitter: https://twitter.com/predsjednik_cg/status/1278362099341758470 The advocacy group LGBT Forum Progres, Montenegro’s first and oldest LGBT+ organisation, posted on twitter too to celebrate this new bill https://twitter.com/LGBTFP/status/1278358175658455040 Unfortunately, as it happens in some other European countries, like Ita...

Switzerland moves forward the approval of Equal Marriage.

Luckily during Pride Month there are Countries who make a real difference for their LGBT+ communities improving their lives. Unlike what is happening in Poland, Switzerland is moving towards real equal rights for every citizen. There is a big "Yes" to the project for the application of the parliamentary initiative of the liberal Green Party proposing "Equal marriage for all" and "yes" to lesbian couples applying to receive donor's semen to get pregnant. The Swiss National Council approved - with 132 votes against 52 and 13 abstentions - the dossier that would finally allow real equality for all Swiss citizens regardless of social class. If everything goes in the right direction, and therefore also the Council of States will adopt the above dossier - which is very likely to happen - Switz...
JK Rowling anti-trans tweets are such a disgusting side of someone who gained tons of money with stories of character not fitting in what she defines “normality”.

JK Rowling anti-trans tweets are such a disgusting side of someone who gained tons of money with stories of character not fitting in what she defines “normality”.

Her PR team blamed on middle-age related issues when it happened first, but Ms. Rowling proves to be a real TERF, and she’s not ashamed. It all started when JK Rowling took issue with an article in Devex, the media platform for the global development community, with the headline: “Creating a more equal post-COVID-19 world for people who menstruate.” You may ask your-self why. Well, she apparently got offended with the sentence “who menstruate” …. now, honey, wouldn’t have it been easier to ask your fans to donate for this project or simply dislike the project and promote a different one? Or simply ignore this? There are so many sentences on LGBT+ communities that I find offensive and inappropriate or even ignorant - just like your anti-trans tweets - but I do turn into a racist. I rather...

Billy Santoro disappeared from adult sites after racist comments on social media.

Billy Santoro is a gay porn star based in Australia, that after racist comments and after he called called police to shoot Black Protesters #BlackLivesMatter, has disappeared from adult sites. US are living a really dramatic moment in history: Covid-19 and the rise of Black Communities against the usual brutality of police offices and state-accepted-racism. Demonstrations that have found allies all over the world and especially amongst the LGBT+ community. But, apparently, this does not apply to Billy Santoro, famous gay porn-star, that lately has used his social media channels (and it is not the first time) to demonstrate his “sympathy” for police officer calling on the to shoot Black People which were demonstrating in the streets. His tweet - deleted shortly after he posted it followi...

Bob The Drag calls for unity and voices speaking up about black and gay lives.

“I CAN’T BREATHE.” George Floyd  was killed on Monday 25th May during an arrest. The footage that can be easily found online, shows George faced down on the edge of a road, while a police officer, with his knee on Geoge’s neck arrests him. Derek Chauvin - this is the name of the officer who killed George - did not react to George’s request to be able to breath, until he went limp. Three Other officers were on the scene and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. At the moment, the FBI and Minnesotan authorities are investigating the death of George Floyd as protests in the streets continued on Wednesday and on social media having such a world echo. Minneapolis mayor - Jacob Frey -  joined calls for the four officers involved in this murrder, to be arrested on Wednesday, and he added: “I’ve wrestl...

Alt-right 4chan users are planning a cyber attack to the LGBT+ community during Pride Month.

This group of homophobes is plotting to hijack LGBT+ all the online events for the Pride Month starting on June 1 by clogging social media with poisonous homophobia and boycotting supportive brands. This is something they are already organising since early May, according to an archived version  of what they have called “Operation Pridefall”. Their plan is to create a multitude of fake accounts on social medias and start posting and share ANTI-LGBT+ contents and to also target those brands that will have digital campaigns linked to the Pride Month. Targeted companies could include Starbucks, Amazon, Coca Cola, several British and American media outlets, Levis, Adidas, or still, some local law enforcement departments. Some members of Alt-Right 4chan would supposedly already have supplied ...

First lesbian couple to marry in Costa Rica

Such an emotional ceremony which was also broadcast live on National TV. Costa Rica recently made equal marriage legal and just a few minutes after midnight Daritza Araya and Alexandra Castillo celebrated their marriage and love in San Isidro de Heredia. Sí Acepto Campaing director Gia Miranda said: “As the country and the world face the difficult situation of the pandemic, this historic milestone becomes even more relevant. It’s a message of a better future for thousands of couples and families who will receive the legal recognition they deserve.” Standing before a marriage officiant in a face mask given the hard situation that South and Central Americas are still facing with Coronavirus, they each exchanged their vows: “With this ring I join you in marriage. This ring symbolises ...

Poland: Police brutally interrogates university students for hours, for reporting homophobic professor at their University.

Police in Poland have interrogated university students after they filed an official complaint against a homophobic, anti-abortion, anti-LGBT+ professor. The Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behaviours in Poland reported that some students at the University of Silesia In Kotowice - Southern Poland - have been interrogated by police officers for hours and when they left they were ’shaken’…. almost in shock. https://www.facebook.com/osrodek.monitorowania/posts/1262975603877570   In a Facebook post yesterday, (that you can also see above), the organisation reported what the students went though: “This looks like an audition for intimidation, not standard law enforcement activities,” wrote The Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behaviors, which is providing legal ...
Not even Coronavirus is able to stop this wave of Homophobia and Antisemitism.

Not even Coronavirus is able to stop this wave of Homophobia and Antisemitism.

If it can’t be stopped yet, at least we hoped covid-19 would have slowed it down …but the sad reality tells us this is not the case (unfortunately). The pic you see above has been taken during a hate-parade held on 12th May in Huntington Beach (USA), where almost 200 people gathered together to express their feelings of anger and frustration for the “stay-at-home” order the State imposed to avoid more victims during this Coronavirus pandemic. Let me say that they also expressed their sad ignorance. Governor Gavin Newsom decided to close bars, restaurants and various businesses in the State, also imposing the temporary closure of all Orange County beaches to prevent the enormous spread of Coronavirus that is hitting USA these last couple of weeks. Numbers say that at least 95,087 people...

IDAHOT 2020 – This is why we must not be ashamed of who we are.

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia 2020.  Let's start with one fact: ours is a male-dominated, patriarchal, and obsessively religious society. This implies that if you are not male, heterosexual, and religious, somehow, you do not fit in this normality. What if you don’t fit in then? Well, then a part of our society feels authorized to be offensive and violent with you. Like if they were Gods able to decide what’s the right kind of love. Their targets to hit are always minorities. It is easy to blame those who are numerically lower or physically less strong. Technically, women would not be a minority, but as women, they are seen as inferior by some men. According to the prevailing patriarchal male chauvinism, women are inferior beings who have very specific ...
