RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 3 – we’ve got a winner, baby.

Millions of eyes glued to their tv screens yesterday to watch the Grand Finale of RuPaul’s DragRace UK Season 3, but was the winner really deserving to be crowned? (spoilers contained in this post)

We’ve already had the chance to express our opinion about RuPual’s DragRace UK season 3 in this post, and no…. It was not an article praising and complimenting this season, but what surprised us, was that readers and fans across the globe agreed with us.

Yesterday we all waited for the Grand Finale, and we have to admit that it was a great episode, with a lovely Christmas(y) song and choreo, and the presence (again) of the Queens of Series 3.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Krystal Versace (20 year-old from Kent) was crowned Queen of the Queens of Season 3 and has followed in the footsteps of previous winners, The Vivienne and Lawrence Chaney, and will soon fly to Hollywood to produce her own web-series with the makers of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Yesterday, the three finalist Queens – Ella Vaday, Kitty Scott-Claus and Krystal Versace, finally discovered who of them won RuPaul’s DragRace UK Season 3, during a special screening of the finale episode in London: remember that alternative endings are recorded in advance to prevent spoilers.

Our Raffa did not really agree with this winner: it looked like this was a “political” decision. Awarding the youngest queen, who had a rough and complicated acceptance-passage with her father, who lightly showed some improvements in her entertainment skills that added extra values to her “sex on legs” style…was (maybe) not the greatest choice.

Don’t get us wrong! We all appreciated her participation in the series, and she did show that if you really want something you can get it, and that you can reach very high levels too. But we also believe that RuPaul’s DragRace UK should award the Queen that shows the best improvements during the season and the one that shows that she can keep the audience fully entertained with more than only presenting “sex on legs”.

Do we believe that Ella or Kitty would have been better winners? Yes, we do! But hey! Congratulations Krystal, you really are a beauty queen.

Krystal is officially the youngest winner in Drag Race her-story, and when asked to comment her victory, she said: “I just want to say to anyone in my life who said I couldn’t do it – f**k you!”

She was also asked to tell her fans what’s in store for her following her victory, and she added: “More filler! I’m going to keep up with the times, educate where necessary, and just keep filling the world with love, passion and inspiration.”

Miss Congeiality

Kitty Scott-Claus was voted by her RuPaul’s DragRace UK Season 3 fellow queens as Miss Congeniality, and she said: “I didn’t think I was gonna in that! Miss Congeniality is one of my favourite films and I can quote the s**t out of it!”

And did you agree with this year’s winner of RuPaul’s DragRace UK?
