Homophobia in sport is still a too big problem.
And still it hurts a lot. Stan Collymore, ex professional football player, who played for England between 1995 and 1997 and became a football pundit, received a homophobic email that he shared with his Twitter followers on Saturday – June 13 – and received loads of messages of support.
You can read the offensive and homophic email in the pictures Stan Collymore posted on twitter:

The football player waited no time and promptly acted to report the happening and the person behind it:
On the phone as we speak to @DerbysPolice who are going with harassment, homophobic and racism contrary to the malicious communications act.
They are looking now for the sender according to information from public too.
Huge thanks to them for a swift response.

From executioner to victim?
Back in 2014 Stan Collymore was hardly criticised for a sort of homophobic tweet he had posted.
Easiest thing to slaughter a ref.
Maybe if they didn’t have so many fairies going down like Devon Lock we’d get less confused decisions.
