Young gay Arab couple beaten and spat on in a horrible homophobic attack in Israel by other Arabs.

Hundreds of people stood and watched the attack. The Israeli Police arrested a 16-year-old from the central Israeli city of Lod on Monday on suspicion that he took part in a violent attack on two young gay Arab men in the area of Jaffa Port on Saturday, August 1. The suspect is being investigated and today will be heard, for aggravated assault linked to a hate crime. They only tried to defend a woman that was being harassed by a man. Emmett Doherty and Luke Bromilow were set upon in the early hours of Sunday morning outside a Chinese takeaway after they attempted to help a woman who was being harassed by men. Emmett simply told the man “don’t speak to a woman like that”, and in no time he became the target of the man’s homophobic slurs before getting beaten and left needing the help of doctors. The attack is being treated as a hate crime, and this is the case! The happening last night in Milan, in a quiet and warm evening in this city hardly  hit by Coronavirus. First the homophobic offenses, heavy, ugly, and then the beatings. The happening was condemned by the actual Croatian President, Zoran Milanović Carnival floats are always poorly politically correct but when people celebrate to racism and homophobia, then it is really too much. This is what happened in Croatia where at the end of a carnival parade, an effigy of a gay couple with a child was burned amid the cheering screams of the crowd around. During the weekend, the city of Imotski sported an effigy of a gay couple, wrapped in a rainbow scarf with a child in their arms, for the carnival parade that was held in the streets of the city to then set it on fire as part of the carnival celebrations.
