National Coming Out Day 2021 – Love and embrace your-real-self!

National Coming Out Day 2021 marks again an important milestone for the LGBT+ Community from all around the world, and on this day, we really should be taking a moment for ourselves and understand why Coming Out is so important for us and our wellbeing.  National Coming Out Day was created by Robert Eichberg and Jean O’Leary to inspire future generations of LGBT+ people to express themselves and their identity publicly, with no fears and proudly. Are there benefits from Coming Out? Yes, there are. And we shall not underestimate their importance. First of all we need to understand that coming out can have positive mental health benefits on us: too many LGBT+ people feel pressure every day when trying to hide part of themselves, and keeping their identities a secret can feed low se...

Jack Dunne – Irish Pro-Rugby player – publicly comes out as bisexual

Rugby has always been a very inclusive sport, one of the most open-minded team-sports, and a new player - Jack Dunne - comes out publicly about his sexuality. The player for Irish team Leinster discussed his sexuality in a recent Pride-themed webinar for his team's YouTube page, and speaking to TV presenter Craig Doyle, 22-year-old Jack said he's actually been "out as bisexual for four or five years now - but not out in the media." https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=-6coYqePYHQ&feature=emb_logo In a following interview with the Independent.ie he added: "I kind of realised when I was 15 or 16, but you are in a school full of teenage boys. [...] A lot of them would say things that they wouldn't even be thinking about, but they are just doing it out of ignorance....

Måneskin on top of the world and fighting against Homophobia in Poland

Måneskin is absolutely the strongest music band of the moment, and these Italians really do it better than others ... or at least, when it comes to fight prejudice and homophobia. Damiano David and Thomas Raggi have kissed on stage in Poland in protest of rising levels of homophobia in the country, especially after all the LGBT Free Zones were created. The Italian Rock Band, who won Eurovision Song Contest 2021 against all odds, started a European tour that has seen each date to be quickly sold out, and during their concert in Poland, they launched a serious message of love, acceptance and togetherness. On their IG profile they posted the below video: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQmLgfQISg6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link   And yes, Damiano, you are perfectly right: LOVE ...

Vatican VS Italy for LGBT+ rights

The State of Vatican has just started a sort of diplomatic war against Italy while the Italian Parliament gets ready to discuss a law against Homophobia. If Italy is a very socially advanced country where finally same-sex unions are granted by the legislation and have almost same rights as a heterosexual marriage, surely it is still not a country where the LGBT+ population is fully protected against discrimination and abuse We have already spoken here about the Zan Bill Proposal (aka DDL Zan) and that still, after more than year since the PM Alessandro Zan proposed this bill, and after the thousands of revisions that the entire bill received from the right and conservative opposition, the Italian Parliament was almost ready to start the final discussion in order to approve and pass the...

I really have the best life, the best family, friends and job a guy can ask for. I’m a pretty private person so I hope you guys know that I’m not doing this for a...

Happy Pride Month 2021

Happy Pride Month 2021 - we are to celebrate life, diversity, love and inclusion. This past couple of years have been very complicated for the whole world, for sure, but for the LGBT+ community, things have been even worst - sometimes. This pandemic forced people to live together in narrow spaces: too often LGBT+ people had to live in hostile environments and their lives, their mental health were put in serious risk. June is the month when we celebrate Pride globally: we also celebrate life, inclusion, we scream out loud our right to exist, to live and love, to have a decent life and get our rights recognised. June is generally the month when we start marching our Pride Parades, or at least we used to, before Covid-19 messed up with our lives.  I would therefore love to begin this mon...

Bosnian Imam thanks Allah for Coronavirus pandemic that cancelled Pride Parade in Sarajevo.

Extremism, in every single aspect of life, is way too dangerous and only brings hate. Polish Feminist Activists gave a rainbow make-over to a Jesus’ statue.

As an act of rebellion against the ANTI-LGBT+ politics of the country, this group of Feminist Activists in Warsaw decided to give some colour to a symbol of power to fight against homophobia. A radical queer feminist group named Stop Bzdurom (Stop Bullshit) claimed responsibility for the protest against the homophobic situation of their country, hanging a Pride flag on a statue of Jesus and sharing a video on social media. They were very direct in their message, saying that homophobia is rampant and very dangerous in Poland, and they also promised to stand with the LGBT+ community that is “afraid to hold hands”. Their promise is clear and solemn: “As long as the Pride flag makes someone worse and ‘inappropriate’, we solemnly promise to provoke. […] We are pissed off that our symbol - a s...
