They only tried to defend a woman that was being harassed by a man. Emmett Doherty and Luke Bromilow were set upon in the early hours of Sunday morning outside a Chinese takeaway after they attempted to help a woman who was being harassed by men. Emmett simply told the man “don’t speak to a woman like that”, and in no time he became the target of the man’s homophobic slurs before getting beaten and left needing the help of doctors. The attack is being treated as a hate crime, and this is the case! Milan has always been a very gay-friendly city, but there are too many homophobic idiots around. The happening last night in Milan, in a quiet and warm evening in this city hardly  hit by Coronavirus. First the homophobic offenses, heavy, ugly, and then the beatings. The incident was promptly reported by the GayCenter of Rome - which operates at national level - and by their spokesperson, Mr. Fabrizio Marrazzo who said: "Last night in Milan a 20-year-old gay couple was insulted and attacked. The couple was eating on a bench in a park and a boy with a beard and tattoos on a scooter approached him and started to offend them with homophobic insults, to the boys' answers he punched S., which you see in the video, wounding him in the face. Bogotá to lift gender-based lockdown rules.

These rules fuelled violence against the transgender community. Claudia Lopez major of the Colombian city of Bogotá  - openly lesbian and married to her wife Angélica Lozano Correa - said that the above mentioned rules will be lifted as of tomorrow following the great number of acts of violence against trans people in the city since they have been applied.  This is what we can read on The NYC Times.
