I thought it was a joke, but I was wrong. When feelings and emotions are stronger and more powerful than reason, we are screwed up. We humans think of ourselves as rational beings. Nonetheless, we are pretty much emotional. When our emotions are particularly intense, they can confuse and make us believe bullshit that, in our minds, become undisputed truth. Only on second thought, we realize we were wrong. Hungary approves bill to ban gender recognition.

There’s no limit to homophobia in Hungary. The LGBT+ community of Hungary is facing new and dangerous challenges after the approval of a bill to ban legal gender recognition. This is putting the Trans community in physical and psychological danger. Basically today, a government-backed bill to replace the terms 'gender' with 'birth sex' on all legal documents issued in the country, was legally approved and effectively prevents any form of legal recognition for transgender people in the EU state - it passed by 133 votes to 57. In this plan, that you can fully read here, The Conservative government described “gay cures” as “abuse of the worst kind” and therefore promised to end conversion therapy as a priority. But, almost two years later they haven’t still been completely banned as it happened in other countries. Kemi Badenoch, Equalities Minister, that called conversion therapies “a very complex issue” said that the government had not decided yet how to proceed on this matter, but we’d like to remind them that they promised a formal consultation in July 2019, long before the outbreak of coronavirus.
