Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika will be the hosts for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. The much-anticipated announcement was made tonight during the second night of Festival di Sanremo 2022. Laura Pausini is a world-wide famous Italian singer, having won a Grammy and a Golden Globe, and even a nomination for an Academy Award. Alessandro Cattelan, one of RAI's presenters, has been rumoured to be one of the hosts for months and it was finally confirmed. Mika, even though had denied every rumour about his role on the Eurovision 2022, is also joining the hosting team. What do you think about the hosts for ESC 2022?

Last Friday, the Portuguese broadcaster RTP announced all the artists and songs competing to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. In total, 20 acts were allocated to one of 2 semifinals. The Semifinals of the Festival da Canção 2022 will take place on March 5 and 7 and the final is set for March 12. Ronela Hajati will represent Albania with “Sekret” at Eurovision 2022

Last night, Ronela Hajati was declared as the winner of Festivali i Këngës and therefore the Albanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The competition was divided on 3 galas, where ultimately 17 out of 20 entries advanced to the last evening's final. This last show was noted as "Eurovision Night" and artists were also allowed to add English, or any language, to their songs' lyrics. Ultimately, the whole decision was laid upon the jury, who chose Ronela as the great winner! You can watch the winning performance right below. Amanda Georgiadis to represent Greece at Eurovision 2022

First song for Eurovision 2022 released: “Intention”, by Intelligent Music Project for Bulgaria

We have now our very first song for Eurovision 2022! After some speculation, Intelligent Music Project has been confirmed as representatives for Bulgaria with their entry "Intention". The Bulgarian rock supergroup is consisted by the Chilean lead singer Ronnie Romero, as well as drummer Stoyan Yankoulov, who previously represented twice Bulgaria along with Elitsa Todorova, in 2007 with the song "Water" landing on Top 5 and then again in 2013, with "Samo Shampioni", missing qualification. Melodifestivalen 2022 line-up completed!

The Swedish broadcaster SVT had revealed the full line-up of 28 acts participating in the Sweden's national final for Eurovision: Melodifestivalen. After a forced break caused by the pandemic, the usual tour across Sweden will happen again and six shows will be spread across five Swedish cities. Oscar Zia, who competed both in 2014 and 2016, is in charge of hosting the shows and further details on other possible hosts are still to be announced. Eurovsion 2022 has finally got a host city: Torino is the chosen one!
