ROAD TO EUROVISION 2021 – AUSTRALIA WILL COMPETE USING “LIVE-ON-STAGE” PERFORMANCE.

During these difficult times due to Covid-19 and related restrictions (and dangers), Australian delegation has just announced that they will be performing from Home during this Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The Australian public broadcaster SBS announced - early today - that unfortunately their representative - Mantaigne - and the rest of the delegation will be unable to travel to Rotterdam due to the restrictions and dangers connected to Covid-19. Montaigne will therefore use the Live-On-tape performance already sent to EBU to participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2021. What a week for Eurovision Lovers like us! Three entries, three new songs, and 2 almost unexpected entries to the competition in Rotterdam. The very first big surprise was given to us by Sanremo 2021 - the Festival of Italian Song - that crowned Måneskin as the winners of this edition with their song "Zitti e Buoni". Eurovision 2021 has got the first official song of the contest

It is the national Albanian selection that give Eurovision 2021 the first official song. Anxhela Peristeri has won the 59th edition of Festivali I Këngës, and together with her song ‘Karma’ will represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. The final was aired on 23rd December 2020 on RHTS and among the 18 participants, Anxhela really showed what talent and music together can do on a stage. Anxhela is not new to this festival, in fact her first participation in Festivali i Këngës is dated back to 2001. No worries at all: Eden Alene has already been re-confirmed for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. So what is Israel selecting? The song Eden will be performing! This year the entire process will be held online. The professional committee set up by KAN has listened to over 200 songs which were sent in anonymously and has shortlisted the 10 songs from which the one that will be performed in Rotterdam will be chosen. Festival di Sanermo is the biggest songs competition in Italy that has a tradition of over 60 years, and since the return of Italy to Eurovision, is also the contest that decides who will represent the country to Eurovision.
