EBU finally put and end to the case of alleged drug use at Eurovision Song Contest 2021 by Damiano of Måneskin. The press release is clear and leaves no doubt: No drug use took place! Eurovision 2021 – Måneskin are back in Italy and today they will be taking a drug test.

The band that won Eurovision 2021, landed in Rome yesterday and quickly communicated the they are all going to get tested for drugs today 24th May 2021. This is what the lead-singer, Damiano David, communicated via social networks to all their fans and to those who followed them during Eurovision Song Contest 2021, for them to stop all those speculations saying that he used drugs during the live Grand Final of the competition. Eurovision 2021 – Måneskin wins and takes the contest back to Italy.

What an amazing night, this Grand Finale of Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with a so unexpected but wanted victory of the Italian Band Måneskin. It was looking almost impossible, given the high scores that Switzerland and France had reached by almost the end of the votes announcements... but Måneskin were finally able to bring the Eurovision Song Contest back to Italy after they last held it in 1990. The first Semifinal of Eurovision Song Contest 2021 has just ended and we have the first 10 finalists that will join the Big 5 and The Netherlands in the Grand Final of Saturday 22nd May 2021. So many feelings, so many emotions: we spent the whole night watching the event live from the Press Room in Rotterdam Ahoy Arena, and hey, did we have goosebumps the whole night! Covid-19 is still a number one danger for all artists participating to Eurovision 2021. Today, all accredited press received the following communication: "Following the positive COVID-19 test in the Polish delegation on Saturday 15 May all other members of the delegation undertook a PCR test, in accordance with the health and safety protocol of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, and we’re pleased to report that all these PCR tests returned negative results. As a precaution the Polish delegation will remain in quarantine until being retested ahead of dress rehearsals for Semi Final 2, in which Poland perform, on Wednesday. During these difficult times due to Covid-19 and related restrictions (and dangers), Australian delegation has just announced that they will be performing from Home during this Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The Australian public broadcaster SBS announced - early today - that unfortunately their representative - Mantaigne - and the rest of the delegation will be unable to travel to Rotterdam due to the restrictions and dangers connected to Covid-19.
