If it can’t be stopped yet, at least we hoped covid-19 would have slowed it down …but the sad reality tells us this is not the case (unfortunately). The pic you see above has been taken during a hate-parade held on 12th May in Huntington Beach (USA), where almost 200 people gathered together to express their feelings of anger and frustration for the “stay-at-home” order the State imposed to avoid more victims during this Coronavirus pandemic. Let me say that they also expressed their sad ignorance. Milan has always been a very gay-friendly city, but there are too many homophobic idiots around. The happening last night in Milan, in a quiet and warm evening in this city hardly hit by Coronavirus. First the homophobic offenses, heavy, ugly, and then the beatings. The incident was promptly reported by the GayCenter of Rome - which operates at national level - and by their spokesperson, Mr. Fabrizio Marrazzo who said: "Last night in Milan a 20-year-old gay couple was insulted and attacked. I thought it was a joke, but I was wrong. There’s no limit to homophobia in Hungary. The LGBT+ community of Hungary is facing new and dangerous challenges after the approval of a bill to ban legal gender recognition. This is putting the Trans community in physical and psychological danger. Basically today, a government-backed bill to replace the terms 'gender' with 'birth sex' on all legal documents issued in the country, was legally approved and effectively prevents any form of legal recognition for transgender people in the EU state - it passed by 133 votes to 57. In this plan, that you can fully read here, The Conservative government described “gay cures” as “abuse of the worst kind” and therefore promised to end conversion therapy as a priority. But, almost two years later they haven’t still been completely banned as it happened in other countries. Kemi Badenoch, Equalities Minister, that called conversion therapies “a very complex issue” said that the government had not decided yet how to proceed on this matter, but we’d like to remind them that they promised a formal consultation in July 2019, long before the outbreak of coronavirus.
