Who could the Hosts be for Eurovision 2022?

The next edition of Eurovision Song Contest is getting closer day by day and rumours have already started about who might be the hosts of the contest this year, at PalaOlimpico Stadium, in Turin. A name that had early emerged as a potential host and shocked the Eurovision community was the the famous Lebanese-British singer, MIKA. The artist behind hits such as "Grace Kelly" or "Take it Easy" had worked in Italy for a few years now, as one of the judges of X Factor. However, MIKA's management had recently denied all the rumours that he could eventually be one of the hosts. The singer is not known for having a very positive view over Eurovision, so that outcome doesn't come as a surprise for the fan community. Another name that had emerged is the one and only Senhit. Even though hav...

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK S3: the weakest ever seen until now.

The third series of RuPaul’s Drag Rage UK is airing on BBC every Thursday evening, but we all have the feeling that this is not the best that British Drag Scene can offer. After such a strong a second series, with characters like Lawrence Chaney, Tia Kofi and Veronica Green (back in season 3 because of Covid), we were all expecting to watch a levelled-up new series of the most loved and lasting tv reality-show that celebrates the art of Drag Queens… and instead… we feel we’ve been let down. Saving just a little group of the queens competing this year in RuPaul’s Drag Rage UK, namely Choriza May, Veronica Green, Ella Vaday, all the others really lack in personality and uniqueness.  Every new episode the viewer has the feeling that there is some magic which is missing to this show: wh...

Italy: protesters in the streets to support ZAN Anti Homotransphobia Bill

The Italian LGTB+ population and that huge majority of Italians that love and want Civil Rights for all, started a huge protest after Zan Bill got stopped during its run to become a law. Zan Bill - Anti Homotransphobia - had already been bounced, delayed and longly discussed before getting completely stopped two days ago in the Italian Senate, and unfortunately the images we saw of that vote, were images that could only belong to a nation of troglodytes. But Italy is not the country that those fascist political parties want to picture: Italy is a nation of good-hearted and civil people that have detached themselves from the politics long ago, and that show huge support to LGBT+ rights. From TV hosts to the Streets of the major cities, peaceful but impacting protests and messages have s...

Måneskin invited for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

Eurovision 2021 winners, Måneskin, performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, making this their debut on American television! The band played "Begging", which is currently #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States (smart choice, hun?). There was also time for a special performance of "MAMMAMIA" released exclusively on their YouTube Channel. The Italian superstars also announced they will be opening The Rolling Stones on November 6, in Las Vegas. Do you think Måneskin is walking on the same footsteps as the iconic Abba?

Anti Homo-Transphobia bill in Italy gets completely stopped.

The journey from bill to law of what is known in Italy as DDL Zan (Anti Homo-transphobia bill) gets abruptly interrupted today. Twenty-three votes scuttled the Zan Bill. The centre-left was sure to have 149 votes on paper, but two abstained and 16 senators passed with the centre-right. The result was 154 votes for NO and 131 for YES, a ratio that was reversed compared to the theoretical starting point envisaged by the forces in the field.  From the Democratic Party, accusations were levelled at those belonging to the party of the Ex Prime-Minister, Mr. Matteo Renzi.  Now Ignazio La Russa (Far right party - Fratelli d’Italia) says: "There is a new majority". Dem leader Monica Cirinnà (famous for her battle to make a law on same sex marriages approved in Italy) said: "The centre-left ...

Adele’s back with “Easy on Me”

We had to wait for 6 long years but she is finally back: Adele releases Easy On Me her first single from her new album 30. The reactions of her fans is unique! I admit I’ve never been an Adele’s fan, but I must confess that yesterday I waited for midnight to come in order to listen to her new single “Easy on Me”… and did I like it? I absolutely loved it… even if it made me cry. Of course, afters such an injection of feelings, I started reading comments of her fans from all over the world, and Lil NasX was - I think - the leader on twitter yesterday night. He said: “Easy On Me’ is so good. It’s so crazy to think the last time Adele released new music I was sitting on stan Twitter. I feel like I’m 15 again.” (this appeared on a twit he quickly deleted)  The song is such a heavy ba...

Superman’s son comes out as bisexual

Let’s welcome Superman’s son - Jon Kent - a new bisexual hero we will all fall in love with. It’s the news that everyone is talking about (and too many people are actually doing it in a negative way), but it is also the one that gives us all a big smile on our faces. Jon Kent will come out as bisexual in the next episode of Superman: Son of Kal-EL #5: writer Tony Taylor made the announcement on National Coming Out Day saying "Everyone needs heroes" The 5th book will be out in libraries on 9th Nov 2021: written by Tom Taylor and designed by John Timms, it will tell the story of Earth's new Superman as he explores being the most powerful being in the world after his father leaves Earth to attempt to free the people of Warworld. A role that really consumes our dear and young Jon and fo...

British Airways and their new gender-neutral greetings approach.

British Airways is not the first nor the last, but surely the latest airline to drop the old “ladies and gentlemen” greeting on-board in favour of gender-neutral greetings. We maybe needed a lockdown to allow many airlines to rethink their strict policies and open their views on social issues too, but apparently this change of announcement has been made in order to “reflect the diversity” of the always larger number of children travelling after lockdown and the increasing recognition of trans and non-binary customers flying onboard of their aircrafts. Pilots and Cabin Crew members have been asked to use gender-neutral language when making their pre-flight announcement and welcome speeches. We might find that the old “ladies and gentlemen” could be replaced by “passengers” or “guests”. ...

Turbulent moments for the ex-Little Mix member Jesy Nelson accused of Blackfishing by Leigh-Anne Pinnock

When everything seemed settled and calm, and Jesy finally released her first solo hit on 8th October 2021, featuring Nicki Minaj, here you have a new drama! Apparently, Jesy Nelson faced allegations of “blackfishing” – this is a term that refers to a white person who appropriates Blackness by using make-up, fake tan, lip fillers, and appropriating styles made popular by Black people. And guess who was this person who started it all? Apparently - staying to what the influencer NoHun said - it was her ex bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock that accused Jesy of Blackfishin in a private messages exchange on Instagram (and apparently, some screenshots of said conversation leaked on the internet). Leigh-Anne called Jesy a “horrible person” saying she should be called out publicly for blackfishing fa...
