Eurovision 2021 – Dangerous incident for Senhit and San Marino Team yesterday during the Jury’s Rehearsal.

SERIOUS ACCIDENT FOR SENHIT AND HER DANCERS YESTERDAY EVENING DURING THE JURY’S REHEARSA OF THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2021: TECHNICIAN FORGETS TO STOP THE ROTATING PLATFORM. We received this press release from Parole Dintorni, San Marino’s Press Office for Eurovision 2021. “Last night, Friday 21st May, during the rehearsal of the Grand Finale of Eurovision Song Contest 2021, which is the rehearsal used by juries to vote their winner, the team got involved in a technical incident where their safety was seriously put at risk. The rotating platform on which the artists were performing was not stopped by the technician provided by the organisation, so Senhit and the dancers had to jump off the moving platform that was still rotating at high speed. Since the platform is in fact a metal pl...

Eurovision 2021 – Turquoise Carpet – The best 3 outfits of the day

Eurovision 2021 kicked off the most important week of the competition with the Turquoise Carpet in Rotterdam. TheGaylyMirror followed the ceremony and made a personal Top3 of the best outfits of the day. It has a been a very complicated start for the Competition Week of Eurovision 2021: the delegations from Iceland and Poland had someone of their teams who tested positive for Covid-19 and could attend the opening event. Due to the fact that the delegations of Romania and Malta are staying at the same hotel as the Polish team, as a precaution, they also could not attend the Turquoise Carpet. All the delegations will have to take PCR tests, and in case of negative results they will be allowed to participate live to each one's respective semifinal. But who had the best score for their ou...

Why we love Senhit – San Marino’s FREAKY queen

From her first appearance on Dusseldorf's stage in 2011 to her great return to the contest in 2020 (and then again in 2021), she's conquered our hearts with her warm smiles, her powerful voice and, let's be honest, her always different, unique and never boring outfits. We are obviously talking of the undisputed queen of San Marino (yes Valentina, 'Maybe' you have tried too many times and dropped the crown!), 'Her Freakiness' , Senhit. After an unfair non-qualification in 2011 with the beautiful pop-ballad 'Stand By' (for which, by the way, I am still crying out for revenge), she accepted to come back and 'battle', again, for one of the smallest countries in the world, that has an history whne it comes to competing in this Contest: San Marino. Let's be clear: a returning artist f...

Road To Eurovision: Italy, Portugal and San Marino’s Entries.

What a week for Eurovision Lovers like us! Three entries, three new songs, and 2 almost unexpected entries to the competition in Rotterdam. The very first big surprise was given to us by Sanremo 2021 - the Festival of Italian Song - that crowned Måneskin as the winners of this edition with their song "Zitti e Buoni". Since a few years now, this Italian selection also decides who will represent the country - that almost won ESC in 2019 with Soldi by Mahmoud - on the stage of Eurovision contest. Måneskin come almost as unexpected winners because of their music background which is rock, explicit and real and goes far from the classical pop, melodic song that Sanremo got all Italians used to.  This group will surely rock the stage in Rotterdam putting the audience to choose which rock t...

The #FreakyTripToRotterdam continues with Senhit wishing “Merry Christmas” in a very special way.

Never before has a Eurovision singer gone so far, perhaps also because never before have we experienced such an unusual year in the history of this festival. Senhit, Italian singer running under San Marino's flag, which we interviewed here, is working the extra mile to take us all with her on a #FreakyTripToRotterdam. She has already sung different remakes of famous Eurovision songs, and all of them have been restyled, renewed and reinterpreted in unique ways, bringing messages of positivity, hope and love to all listeners. This new remake is a song that won Eurovision in 2017, sung by Salvador Sobral from Portugal, a song that already brings a powerful message of love and strength, where the loving one in the couple is aware that maybe the other person is not ready to love, is ...

Senhit and her #FreakyTripToRotterdam

Senhit is taking us all on a fantastic #FreakyTripToRotterdam and each stop is a wonderland! The Italian singer from Bologna who represented San Marino in 2011 at Eurovision Song Contest and that had to represent the same Country in 2020 in Rotterdam, did not give up to sadness when this year the event got cancelled because of Covid-19. Raffa had one of #TheGaylyTalks that he usually has with artists and together with Senhit we will take on a magical tour, we will travel to the past, to the future and will explore the present days. Buckle-up for this #FreakyTripToRotterdam and enjoy the energy, the smile and love that Senhit gives us all in this video-interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsKPk0s1jSg

Senhit’s #Freakytriptorotterdam continues!

San Marino’s famous artist and Eurovision alumni is taking us on a musical adventure to Rotterdam 2021. Senhit (formerly known as Senit) made her San Eurovision debut for San Marino back in 2011. She was selected to compete once again in Eurovision 2020.  Since it’s cancellation due to the global pandemic, we’re happy to say that Senhit will return in 2021! “I will represent San Marino at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. So I have decided to go on a freaky tribute journey to celebrate the Eurovision history and its fans…” https://youtu.be/c6ZNo_hVA6E To ease the wait until next Year, Senhit is releasing covers of Eurovision classics rendered in her original and unique musical and visual style. So far the #freakytriptorotterdam consists of 3 amazing covers - “Ch...

Freaky is the way! Senhit’s hymn to the beauty of diversity for Eurovision 2020.

It is Friday 13th of a leap year in which we are facing a freaking pandemic alarm: shouldn’t we only be writing about beautiful things today? As we have mentioned here, Senhit has been chosen by San Marino as representative for this Eurovision Song Contest 2020 which will be held (hopefully without programme changes) in Rotterdam from 12th to 16th May 2020. To select which of the two competing songs had to be performed on the stage of Eurovision 2020 between Freaky and Obsessed, the singer had put on an on-line ballot on her website last Saturday and Sunday. https://youtu.be/c6ZNo_hVA6E The video is a triumph of colours, a hymn to that diversity which is part of our normalcy and which must not frighten us, but it must be celebrated, fully lived and enjoyed. This year San Marino hit it...

Eurovision Song Contest 2020 – San Marino has chosen (again) Senhit

For the first time the song to be brought to the Rotterdam stage will be chosen with a digital battle! You can vote here www.senhit.com/eurovision between Sat 7th and Sunday 8th March 2020. The Eurovision Song Contest is the most LGBT+ friendly music TV event in the whole world, and for the eleventh participation in this song contest, San Marino has chosen to be (re)represented by an international singer: SENHIT! The Italian-Eritrean artist has already competed for San Marino at the ESC 2011 and this year she returns to the competition after a long experience gained on the stages of the best clubs all around Europe and the United States, singing both in Italian and in English. The success of the recent electro-pop single "Dark Room" was one of the reasons that pushed San Marino to want...
